Mr. Sanford D. Greenberg

Mr. Greenberg has diverse business, philanthropic and academic interests. Mr. Greenberg founded and served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of several technology-based companies.

Appointed by President Clinton in 1994 to the National Science Board, which oversees the National Science Foundation, Mr. Greenberg previously served as a White House Fellow in President Johnson's Administration. Mr. Greenberg served as Chairman of the Rural Health Care Corporation, created by Congress in 1997 to bring the benefits of telemedicine to America's rural health care facilities. He is a Trustee of Johns Hopkins Medicine and a Trustee Emeritus of the Johns Hopkins University. Mr. Greenberg serves as Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins. He has also served as a director of the National Committee on United States - China Relations and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.

Mr. Greenberg received his B.A. degree and his M.B.A. from Columbia University, his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from Harvard University. He attended Harvard Law School, from which he took a leave of absence to become a White House Fellow, and was a Marshall Scholar at Oxford University.
